Module I – Collections related to colonial contexts

Provenance research on objects acquired in colonial contexts has the particularity of studying their origin as well as their significance and cultural value within the source communities and with the people concerned, with whom the aim is to engage in dialogue while establishing equitable relations.

Module II – Property looted during the National Socialist era
​
Module II deals with the problematic of property looted during the Second World War by the National Socialist regime. In this context, it aims to establish the changes of ownership between 1933 and 1945 and to ensure, in accordance with the "Washington Principles", that the object was not taken under duress from its rightful owner.
